This Shameless Space To Advertize Our New Book

Hello, readers.

You all know that Pequin publishes short-fiction online semi-reguarly, but you may not know that we also (quite irregularly, actually) publish stuff in print. When we do that, we do it under the moniker Better Non Sequitur. And, as such, we are dying to announce the release of our new book, See You Next Tuesday: The Second Coming, and hope each of you will purchase a copy.

Here are some things you might want know about it:

  • The cover art, which you undoubtedly can’t stop looking at, was done by Matt Furie. He did it for free because, also for free, we help him with his website, and because that kind of artist-on-artist action is crucial if you’re gonna make it in this world.

  • If you buy it directly from us at betternonsequitur.com (as opposed to Amazon), it only costs $10. Living where we live, that’s less than a movie, or 2 gallons of gas. Somehow, as our publishing and editing skills have gone up over the years, the price of our books have stayed the same. Also, every penny you pay goes to the production of the next book. We have some exciting stuff planned.

  • 50 writerly individuals from all over the world, known and unknown, many of whom have contributed to the hotness of this pequin pepper, lent 1,000-words to this anthology. You obviously love 1,000-word stuff if you’re at this site. You surely will love this book too.

  • It has a lot of sex in it. It’s definitely not Erotica, and at times the stories are completely unsexy. Read more on what it’s all about and who’s in it here, or find the samples from the first volume in our 2007 archives.

  • Hundreds of mediocre books are published each month. This isn’t one of them. Your buying a copy, and your linking to it on your blog or myspace profile or whatever online support you are capable of giving, is crucial. And you can do it in one add-to-cart click below, or you can visit the Better Non Sequitur website and do it in a couple more.

Thank you.
